Family Portraits
Family portraits can take place at our high-key, all-white studio, or at your choice of location within 40 miles of our studio! We also travel, and would love to join your family on a daytrip (or even on vacation!). We have a list of pretty epic locations here in St. Louis as well! Our full custom option includes hair and makeup for mom, exclusive access to our client closet, props, and a styling consultation to coordinate everyone's looks! Our custom sessions typically take place weekdays at sunset, but we can chat to find the perfect time for your family! There is a petite option available as well for those who don't want all the bells and whistles.

Q: How long do sessions usually take? A: Petite sessions up to an hour while custom sessions, we will shoot until we get what we need! Typically even a big extended family session doesn't require longer than 1.5 hours, but we do not cap our time limits for custom sessions.
Q: What if I have a really shy or stranger-danger child? A: No problem! We will absolutely take our time and work with them slowly until they feel comfortable. You can bring their favorite toy and snack and let them warm up to us!
Q: What safety measures do you take? A: We are licensed and insured and we sanitize our studio after every client. We are also fully vaccinated, including Covid. We can also wear a mask upon request!
Q: Â How much does it cost? A: Petite session are two payments of $95 and include choice of location, one outfit and approximately one hour of time. Custom sessions are two payments of $170. This includes all the perks - our exclusive client closet, styling support, hair and makeup for mom, choice of location, and of course our time and talent dedicated to making your session spectacular, up to two hours! Â Products, images, and prints are sold separately at your ordering appointment, approximately 3-7 days later. Collections start at $890, and ala carte items are also available. Ask us about travel sessions!
Q: Â What does the ordering appointment entail? A: Â This is where you will view your images for the first time in a stunning slideshow, and will be able to order your images and products. Â You can come to the studio for this, we can come to your home, or we can buy you a coffee at your favorite cafe! Â We have samples of every product we sell, and we also offer payment plans! Â Once your order is paid in full, we retouch your chosen images and order the products for you. Â Digital images take approximately 1-2 weeks for retouching and products take 1-4 weeks to arrive from the lab.
Q: Can I share my images with family and friends? A: Absolutely! Â We will send you all the soft proofed images from your session in an online gallery that you can send to family and friends! Â If they also place an order, you'll receive an additional credit that you can use towards future products!
Q: Should we choose studio or outdoor? A: If you like consistent lighting, controlled temperature and environment and a more "polished' look to your portraits, I would recommend studio! If you like a little bit of adventure, natural light and textures, and a changing landscape, outdoor sounds like it would be for you! We discuss this at length during your consultation, and I can help you make the best decision for your family!
